Automatic Die Feeding and Sorting System (ADFS)

In combination with CU4, the Automatic Die Feeding and Sorting (ADFS) can automatically feed, mark, and sort Drawing and Enameling Dies.

Each input column of dies can typically hold 112cm (44inch) of stacked dies. The output positions are used for sorting the dies into different categories.

The typical cycle time is 5 seconds + measurement time + marking time (if applicable).

A diameter and ovality measurement takes typically less than 2 seconds.
I.e. the total cycle times are then approximately 7 seconds for the Diameter and Ovality measurements, and between 25 and 70 seconds for the full profile measurements.

The ADFS has two different sorting alternatives: Linear and Matrix. The standard linear sorting can sort into 10 classes/output boxes without sacrificing the cycle times described above. The standard matrix sorting can sort into 70 classes/output boxes without sacrificing the cycle times described above. The output boxes are placed on a trolley directly beneath the ADFS table making it easy to transport all the sorted dies to the next location for further handling.
