The conoptica team

Espen leads the team at Conoptica, leveraging his vast experience of metrology and software development to drive our innovation and business growth. A graduate in Computer Science from NTNU, Espen has also studied Strategy and Business Development at NTNU, and joined our team in 1997. Espen brings vision and leadership to our organization, overseeing our evolution and delivering for our customers, while maintaining our competitive advantage.

With responsibility for the complete range of tools for the Machine Tool industry, Ivan manages all customer relations, leads marketing and sales activities, and owns the machine tool product line brand. Trained as a software engineer at NTNU, Ivan has more than 17 years of experience at Conoptica and has a wealth of expertise and insight. He ensures our machine tool solutions meet the needs of our global customer base.

Kjell joined Conoptica in 2017, fulfilling several engineering and commercial roles, before assuming leadership of our Wire and Cable Division in 2022. He leads our global activities in this sector, working directly with our customers and reseller partners. Kjell has a master’s degree from NTNU and an MBA from COPPPEAD UFRJ in Brazil. An experienced project manager, Kjell has previously held positions in Asia and Latin America.

A graduate of HiST, Andreas joined Conoptica in 2014 and now leads production of our Machine Tool measurement solutions. In this role, he’s responsible not only for ensuring consistent delivery and quality, but also for ensuring new innovations are smoothly integrated into our releases and solution updates. Andreas also works with our customers globally to ensure their service requirements are met, so they can deliver to their production schedules.

Franky is responsible for all service activities for our Wire and Cable division. This means he has regular contact with all our customers and helps us to enhance our solutions by capturing the experiences of our user community. A graduate in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, Franky also holds a master’s degree from NTNU. Franky joined Conoptica in 2006, starting as a Production and Service Engineer.

Andrea joined Conoptica in 2021, originally to support our logistics and order fulfilment activities, but swiftly moved into a commercial role. Originally from Brazil and brought up in Uruguay, Andrea speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and works closely with our customers to ensure they obtain the right solutions from our range, building long-term partnerships in all countries in which we operate. She began her career in the shipping and logistics sector, building expertise in complex delivery processes, across global supply chains.

With a long career spanning embedded systems design and production, as well as advanced electronics, Vidar brings a wealth of experience to his role as Purchasing and Production Manager in the Wire and Cable Division. Vidar graduated as a telecommunications engineer from HiST and has worked as an engineer in a number of roles. He ensures the highest levels of quality for customers of our wire drawing die measurement systems.

Fee Lee joined Conoptica in 2023, bringing deep experience of manufacturing and procurement in international markets. Fluent in Mandarin, Fee works with our customers across the Asian region. While also handling direct sales activities, she will be instrumental in creating new reseller and service partnerships locally, to grow our footprint. Understanding customer success factors and goals is crucial to this goal, and Fee is well-positioned to bring these insights to Conoptica.

Beata joined Conoptica in 2017, and acts as the first point of contact with our customers. She has many responsibilities which include handling all orders, our worldwide shipments — including the complex business of navigating customs’ clearances — and invoicing. With a degree in Social Work from HiST, Beata also has training in legal affairs. She is essential for ensuring that our business functions successfully, as we grow our global footprint.
